University Counseling Center

The University Counseling Center is located in the garden level of Dolan Hall. The center provides confidential therapy for undergraduate and graduate students. Students can talk privately with a trained professional about any personal and mental health concerns, such as relationship conflicts, stress, anxiety, depression, family problems, or difficulty adjusting to college. Services include short-term individual counseling, groups and workshops, psychiatry services, athlete mental skills services, referrals to community services, and same-day crisis services. The center also provides consultation for faculty, staff, or students who have concerns about another student and are seeking guidance, and we help lead the JED Campus initiative to enhance suicide prevention and provide suicide prevention training to faculty, staff and students. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some evening sessions by appointment only. Students may schedule an appointment by calling 216-397-4283 or by submitting an appointment request via the online portal on our center’s website at jcu.edu/counselingcenter
