Student Accessibility Services

John Carroll University is committed to ensuring equal access and reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities. The Office of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) provides assistance to students with documented disabilities and serves as the primary resource for all student issues related to disabilities. SAS collaborates with students and University personnel to provide reasonable accommodations (academic and non-academic). Types of Disabilities may include: Medical/physical (e.g., cerebral palsy, cancer, traumatic brain injury); Sensory (e.g., hearing or visual impairment); Psychological (e.g., ADHD, Anxiety, Depression); Learning (e.g., dyslexia, dyscalculia).

If you would like assistance with accommodations, you must contact Student Accessibility Services. Documentation and verification of disability are required. Students are encouraged to start the process early, since accommodations are not retroactive. Specific information regarding documentation and accommodations, as well as other applicable information about SAS and our services, can be found here on the SAS website alternatively, students can contact the office by emailing sas@jcu.edu or calling 216-397-4967.
