Visiting Student Registration

All visiting students must complete the Visiting Student Registration Form.

  • Students who want to take courses during the fall or spring semesters should submit their applications beginning at the end of priority registration, as outlined under Important Dates on the Registrar's website.

  • Students who wish to take courses during the summer sessions should submit applications according to procedures outlined in the Schedule of Summer Classes , which is available online at http://sites.jcu.edu/summer/.

Current Undergraduate Students:

Students having a grade-point average of C (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better that are eligible to continue at their own college or university may enroll at John Carroll as a visiting student for one term (fall semester, spring semester, or summer term). It is expected that students meet all prerequisites for the course(s) they wish to take at John Carroll.

Current High School Students:

Students having a cumulative high school grade-point average of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) or better that have their high school guidance counselor's permission may enroll at John Carroll as a visiting high school student. It is expected that students meet all prerequisites for the course(s) they wish to take at John Carroll.

Non-Degree-Seeking Students:

Students who have graduated from high school but have not earned a Bachelor’s degree, and who wish to take courses that will not apply to an undergraduate program may enroll as 'Non-degree seeking' students. It is expected that students meet all prerequisites for the course(s) they wish to take at John Carroll.

*All visiting students will be charged the current undergraduate tuition rate (which is a per-credit-hour charge for students taking less than 12 credits) and are not eligible for financial aid.
