Course Description

This course examines social and economic inequality in the United States using theoretical readings, research studies, lectures and class discussions. Particular focus will be on class structure, mobility, and the impact and consequences of social class on individual lives. This course is linked with HS 2473 History of Mexico providing students an opportunity to utilize both sociological and historical analysis to better understand these two countries. Prerequisite: EN1250 or equivalent. Corequisite: HS 2473.
