Course Description

Examines the early history of European exploration of the Atlantic World. Shaped by new diseases, new plants and animals, new technologies, and new political configurations, the New World gave rise to new sets of identities, as people from Europe, Africa, and the Americas adapted to circumstances out of necessity. Prerequisite: EN 125 or EN 1250 or equivalent. Corequisite: EN 2612.
