Graduate School Conditional Admission

In certain cases where admission requirements are not met, applicants to John Carroll University’s Graduate School may be admitted conditionally. In cases of academic conditional admission, students who matriculate after being conditionally admitted must achieve a minimum 3.0 GPA in their first 9 completed hours of graduate coursework in order to continue studies at JCU. If a 3.0 GPA is not achieved, the student will be dismissed from the institution. Other reasons for conditional admission are at the discretion of the appropriate department at JCU. In all cases, conditional admission status must be communicated to the student in their graduate admission letter along with the appropriate steps and timeline for resolution. Students not compliant with the terms of conditional admission will be dismissed from the institution.
