Course Description
Japan at War and Peace focuses on the dynamics that diverted Japan’s early attempts at democracy to militarism and war. The course also explores the social, political, diplomatic, and cultural impact of the Pacific War on Japan and the immediate and long term consequences of the war on Japan, its neighbors, and the West. Prerequisite: EN1250 or equivalent.
